Surviving the Holidays
Bittersweet memories. Loss of traditions. An empty seat at the table. The holiday season can trigger sadness and despair for people grieving a loss. Join us for a 2-hour event called Surviving the Holidays where we talk about how to deal with grief around the holiday season.
This session will be on November 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
Seek • Share • Serve
We have many opportunities to worship together through Bible study, fellowship, and serving our community and beyond. Sunday mornings begin with Sunday School for all ages, followed by a worship service where we sing, and pray, and our pastor delivers a message. Sunday night activities include Camp Jesus for children up to 5th grade, a youth group meeting, a ladies’ Bible study group, and GriefShare (grief support group). Choir rehearsals for special holidays are on Sundays seasonally.
On Monday nights, our WMU ladies work on projects that are donated to local nursing homes, mission projects, or others in need. Some of the items they make are pillowcase dresses for girls, wheelchair bags, walker bags, wheelchair armrest cushions, and busy blankets for Alzheimer’s patients.
Youth and Children’s groups meet on Wednesdays at the same time as our weekly prayer meetings. Adult choir rehearsals are held each week also.
We welcome new members to all these groups!
